Aivali Stefania,acquired her BSc in Chemistry in 2014  from the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras. In the year 2013-2014 she completed her research work on "Development of semiconducting polymers consisting of alternating elector donor-elector acceptor units, for application in organic electronic devices" for her diploma thesis in the Polymers Laboratory in the Division of Applied, Analytical and Environmental Chemistry, supervised by Prof. J. Kallitsis. In November of 2014 she was enrolled as postgraduate student in a research program of the Chemistry Department of the University of Patras entitled "Advanced Polymeric and Nanostractured Materials".

Alexopoulou Panagiota, acquired her BSc in Chemistry in 2015 from the Department of Chemistry, Univeristy of Patras. In the year 2014-2015 she completed her research work on "Synthesis and study of thermally cross-linked aromatic polyethers" for her diploma thesis, in the Polymers Laboratory in the Division of Applied, Analytical and Environmental Chemistry, supervised by Lecturer V. Deimede. In October 2015 she enrolled as postgraduate student in a research program entitled "Development of alkaline polymer electrolytes bearing phosphonium groups" at the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras.

Dr. Charalampos Anastasopoulos studied Chemistry at the University of Patras and obtained his Master and PhD in 2006 and 2010 respectively, in Organic and Peptide Synthesis from the University of Patras. His research interests cover the area of Polymeric chemistry and in particular polymeric ionic liquids (PILs) and dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). Furthermore, copolymers that are used as dyes in solid-state sensitized solar cells based on TiO2 electrodes and a hole-transporting semiconducting polymer.
Finally, synthesis of new polymeric chromophore groups in order to attach them in semiconductors and specifically low bandgap polymeric donors which are functionalized with appropriate end groups for their connection to a semiconductor type titania.

Dr. Aikaterini K. Andreopoulou (over 20 papers in international refereed journals) is a research scientist in polymer chemistry. She has been a Post Doctoral researcher at Greek Universities as well as foreign University laboratories (Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research, Mainz, Germany and Roy & Diana Vagelos Laboratories, Department of Chemistry, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia PA, USA). Her research activities focus on the development of functional polymeric materials. More specifically she specializes in dendronized polymers and metallopolymers, in hybrid materials for optoelectronics and in polymer electrolytes for PEM fuel cells.

Andrikopoulos Konstantinos graduated from the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras with a BSc in Chemistry in 2017. During 2014-15 he completed his research work on “Issues of Instrumental Chemical Analysis” for his diploma thesis, at the Instumental Chemical Analysis Laboratory of the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras, supervised by Prof. D. Kalogianni. In April of 2017 he was enrolled as postgraduate student in a research program entitled "Synthetic Organic Chemistry and Advanced Polymeric and Nanostructured Materials" at the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras, supervised by Professor J. Georgios Bokias is Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras. He obtained his first degree in Chemistry from the University of Athens (1989) and his Ph.D. from the University of Patras (1994). He spent about three years at the Ecole Superieure de Physicochimie Industrielle (ESPCI), Paris, France, within the frame of a Marie Curie Fellowship and other national or industrial grants. Since 2002 he joined the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras. His research activities lay in the fields of stimuli-responsive and functional polymers, hydrogels, nanoparticles and hybrid organic/inorganic nanostructured materials for potential applications as responsive soft materials, sorbents and sensors. He has participated into several national and international research projects.  He is a co-author of about 60 research publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and book chapters.

Chouliaras Athanasios, acquired his BSc in Chemistry in 2016 from the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras. In the year 2015-2016 he completed his research work on "Synthesis and Characterization of Alkaline Polymer Electrolytes" for his diploma thesis, in the Polymers Laboratory in the Division of Applied, Analytical and Environmental Chemistry, supervised by Associate Professor V. Deimede. In October 2016 he enrolled as postgraduate student in a research program entitled "Development of Polymeric membranes based on Polymeric Anionic Liquids for Gas Separation " at the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras.

Dr. Maria K. Daletou (over 10 papers in international refereed journals) is currently working as a research scientist at the Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences (ICE-HT) with Dr. S. Neophytides. She has spent several years as a Post Doc fellow in international and national institutes (the Northeastern University of Boston, MA; FORTH/ICEHT Greece). Her research interests focus on the synthesis and characterization of proton conducting polymers and the synthesis and in-situ and ex-situ characterization of electrocatalysts and MEAs for HT PEMFC applications.

Chrysovalado Deimede is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at University of Patras. She received a BS in Chemistry from the University of Patras in 1997, and a PhD in Polymer Chemistry from the same university in 2001. She spent one year post doc (2002-2003) at the Max Planck Institute of Polymer Science (Mainz, Germany) and three years at FORTH-ICE/HT and University of Patras (Department of Chemistry). From 2006 to 20011, she worked as a senior researcher in Advent Technologies S. A. and then she joined the Department of Chemistry (University of Patras) in January 2012. Her research activities are focused on the development of new polymeric membranes for use in energy related applications such as fuel cells, lithium ion batteries. She is a co-author of 21 publications in peer-reviewed journals that have received over 540 citations (h-factor=13).

Giannopoulos Panagiotis, Acquired his BSc in Chemistry in 2011 from the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras. Joannis K. Kallitsis is Professor at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Patras and affiliated faculty member of FORTH/ICE-HT. He spent postdoctoral years in the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research and in the Kunstoff laboratorium BASF. He has been invited Professor in ECPM, Strasbourg; ESCPI, Paris and ETH, Zurich. His research activities focus on the development of new polymeric and hybrid materials of various architectures and functionalities. One main research activity is devoted to the preparation of new aromatic polyelectrolytes presenting ionic conductivity and their application in HT PEMFCs. He is co-author of more than 150 papers in international refereed journals. He has participated into several national and international research projects.

Karamitrou Melpo, BSc in Material Science in 2009 from the Department of Material Science, University of Patras. Dr. Nikos Koromilas studied Chemistry at the University of Patras and received his Master and PhD in 2012 and 2016 respectively, in Advanced Polymeric and Nanostructured Materials at the University of Patras. Currently, he is a Post Doctoral researcher at the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras, working on the research project entitled "Development of polymeric membranes for water purification" in the framework of the project ARCHERS, carried out by the Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas (FORTH), and funded by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. His research activities focus on the development of random, block and grafted/crosslinked copolymers containing groups with bacteriostatic action, via techniques like free radical polymerization (FRP), atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) and synthetic procedures such as reactive blending. He has 7 publications in peer-reviewed journals and 12 participations in national and international conferences.

Dr. Georgia Ch. Lainioti, Chemist, is a research scientist in the area of biocidal polymeric and hybrid materials. She holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry and has over 6 publications in peer-reviewed journals. Her current research interests include the synthesis of polymeric nanoparticles with improved barrier properties, the manufacturing of carbon nanotube/polymer nanocomposites with antibacterial activity as well as polymer compatibilization by reactive blending.

Afroditi Moutsi, acquired her B.Sc in Chemistry in 2012 from the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras. In the year 2009-10 she completed her diploma thesis, entitled  “Design and synthesis of 1,4-disubstituted imidazole analogs, derivatives of Ε-urocanic acid, with characteristic modifications of the carboxyl group, as potent antihypertensive agents” in the Department of Chemistry, supervised by Prof. J. Matsoukas. Since December of 2012 she is an M.Sc  student  in "Advanced Polymeric and Nanostructured Materials"  in the  Chemistry Department of the University of Patras.
