Nikos Kalfoglou^†

Dr Nikos Kalfoglou was Professor Emeritus at the Dept. of Chemistry, University of Patras (UP). He obtained his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia,USA. He did postdoctoral research at the Macromolecular Institute, SUNY, Syracuse, USA and the Dept. Chemical Engineering, University of Toronto, Canada. He had been instrumental in organizing the training in Polymer Science and Chemical Technology at UP. His later research interests centered mainly in the area of polymer compatibility in the solid state and reactive polymer blending. He was author and co-author in 65 international refereed journals.
