Manousou Athina acquired her BSc in Chemistry in 2017 from the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras. In the year 2015-2016 she completed her research work on "Dry Reforming of Methane Using Carbide Catalysts" for her diploma thesis, in the division of Catalysis, supervised by Associate Professor H. Matralis. In October 2017 she enrolled as postgraduate student in a research program entitled "Development of Polymeric membranes based on Polymeric Anionic Liquids for Gas Separation" at the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras.

Theoni Dimitra graduated in 2017 with a degree in Chemistry from University of Patras. In the year 2017 she completed her research work on " Studies towards the total synthesis of selective non peptid agonists of the B2 bradykinin receptor" supervised by Professor D. Papaioannou. In September 2017 she enrolled as a postgraduate student in a program called "Science and Technology of Polymeric Materials" at the Department of Chemistry, supervised by Professor G. Bokias.

Tsagdh Artemis, graduated in 2016 with a degree in Chemistry from the University of Patras. In the year 2015-2016 she completed her research work on “Quality control physicochemical analysis at all stages of beer production-Analysis of acidity of wines produced by fermentation of Corinthian currant residues at low” in Athenian Brewery S.A.- Patras in cooperation with the Department of Chemistry, in the Division of Food Chemistry, supervised by Assistant  Professor A. Bekatorou. In October of 2016 she enrolled as postgraduate student in a research program entitled "Synthesis and study of the properties of alkaline polymer membranes for energy applications" at the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras. She is currently working in DEMO S.A..

Kallitsis Konstantinos, acquired his BSc in Chemistry in 2014 from the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras. His Master of Science in Synthetic Chemistry started in September 2014 in the Polymers Laboratory supervised by Prof. Dionisios Papaioannou. His diploma thesis was entitled "Polymer electrolytes" and focused on the synthesis of polymer electrolytes for HT-Fuel cell applications. He is currently working on a PhD thesis at the Laboratoire de Chimie des Polymères Organiques (LCPO)a joint research unit (UMR5629) of the University of Bordeaux, CNRS, and Bordeaux National Polytechnic Institute, France.

In the year 2013-14 she completed her research work on "Contribution to the method validation of phytoprotective substances on the substrate of potato" for her diploma thesis, in the "Regional Center for Protection of Plants and Quality Control, Achaia" supervised by Prof. T.Tsegenidis and Dr.T.Mitropoulou, in Division of Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry an Natural Products. In November of 2015 she enrolled as postgraduate student in a research program entitled "Synthetic Organic Chemistry and Advanced Polymeric and Nanostructured Materials” at the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras, supervised by Professor J. Pileas Papakonstantinou, acquired his BSc in Chemistry in 2014 from the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras. In the year 2013-14 he completed his research work on “Vitamin A and E analysis with reverse phase High Performance Liquid Chromatography (rp-HPLC), in kids with cystic fibrosis and insufficient growth” for his diploma thesis, in the Biochemistry Laboratory of General Children's Hospital “Agia Sofia”, supervised by Prof. N.K. Karamanos and Dr. I. Papasotiriou. In November of 2014 he enrolled as postgraduate student in a research program entitled “Development of polymer electrolytes for use in alkaline fuel cells” at the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras.

Konstantinos Lempotesis, acquired his BSc in Chemistry in 2014 from the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras. In the year 2010-11 he completed his research work on "Synthesis of b Chain of Insulin like 4 peptide (INSL-4)" for his diploma thesis, in the Division A of Organic Biochemistry and Natural Products, supervised by prof K. Barlos,. In November of 2014 he enrolled as postgraduate student in a research program of the Chemistry Department of the University of Patras entitled "Advanced Polymeric and Nanostractured Materials".

Antonis Stratidakis graduated in 2014 from the “Material Science” department of the University of Patras. In the year 2011, he was an exchange student in the “Uppsala University”, in the department of “Physics and Astronomy”. In April of 2014 he enrolled as postgraduate student in a research program at the Chemistry Department of the University of Patras, entitled “Advanced Polymeric and Nanostructured Materials”. Currently his interest focuses on the “Rheological Study of aqueous solutions using amphiphilic polymeric systems”.

Dr. Ioannis Thivaios studied Chemistry at the University of Patras and obtained his Ph. D. award in 2013, in Polymer Science and Technology from the University of Patras in Greece. His research activities (3 publications at international scientific magazines) cover the area of water-soluble polymers. Specific areas of interest include:

  • Use of hydrogels for the selective adsorption of organic dyes from water.
  • Characterization by various Spectroscopy techniques (UV-Vis, FTIR).
  • Design of functional water-soluble polymers with optical properties responsive to external stimuli.
  • Synthesis and physicochemical study of nanoparticles and hybrid materials bearing metal oxides.
  • Design and Synthesis of novel “smart” materials with self-healing and self-assembling properties.
