Research Activities
The Advanced Polymers & Hybrid Nanomaterials Research Laboratory – APHN-RL focuses on the design and development of polymers and hybrid materials for technological applications in Energy, Health and Environmental areas.
Breakthroughs & achievements in the areas of:
- Polymer electrolytes Membranes, for Polymer Electrolyte Fuel Cells (PEMFCs),
- Semiconducting polymers and hybrid polymer-carbon nanostructure systems for Organic Photovoltaics (OPVs),
- Light emitting polymers with tunable and controllable light emission and also with white light emission for Polymer Light Emitting Diodes (PLEDs, WPLEDs).
- Antimicrobial Polymers and coatings with controllable release of the active species.
