Dr. Zacharoula Iatridi (over 20 papers in international refereed journals) studied Material Science at the University of Patras and obtained her Master and Doctorate awards in 2006 and 2009 respectively, in Polymer Science and Technology from the University of Patras in Greece. Her research interests cover the area of water-soluble and amphiphilic copolymers. Specific areas of interest include: synthesis of comb-type copolymers, study of stimuli-responsive polymers, polymer-surfactant interactions, polymer-metal interactions and controlled release of biocides from polymer-metal hybrid materials, interactions of polymers with magnetic nanoparticles, synthesis of polymer hydrogels, drug release from polyampholytes.

During 2014-15 he completed his research work on “Issues of Instrumental Chemical Analysis” for his diploma thesis, at the Instumental Chemical Analysis Laboratory of the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras, supervised by Prof. D. In April of 2017 he was enrolled as postgraduate student in a research program entitled "Synthetic Organic Chemistry and Advanced Polymeric and Nanostructured Materials" at the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras, supervised by Professor J.
