Dr. Maria K. Daletou (over 10 papers in international refereed journals) is currently working as a research scientist at the Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences (ICE-HT) with Dr. S. Neophytides. She has spent several years as a Post Doc fellow in international and national institutes (the Northeastern University of Boston, MA; FORTH/ICEHT Greece). Her research interests focus on the synthesis and characterization of proton conducting polymers and the synthesis and in-situ and ex-situ characterization of electrocatalysts and MEAs for HT PEMFC applications.

Aikaterini K. Andreopoulou is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at University of Patras since 2022. She has been a Post Doctoral researcher at Greek Universities as well as foreign University laboratories (Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research, Mainz, Germany and Roy & Diana Vagelos Laboratories, Department of Chemistry, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia PA, USA). Her research activities focus on the development of functional polymeric materials. More specifically she specializes in dendronized polymers and metallopolymers, in hybrid materials for optoelectronics and in polymer electrolytes for PEM fuel cells.

Chrysovalado Deimede

Chrysovalado Deimede is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at University of Patras. She received a BS in Chemistry from the University of Patras in 1997, and a PhD in Polymer Chemistry from the same university in 2001. She spent one year post doc (2002-2003) at the Max Planck Institute of Polymer Science (Mainz, Germany) and three years at FORTH-ICE/HT and University of Patras (Department of Chemistry). From 2006 to 20011, she worked as a senior researcher in Advent Technologies S. A. and then she joined the Department of Chemistry (University of Patras) in January 2012. Her research activities are focused on the development of new polymeric membranes for use in energy related applications such as fuel cells, lithium ion batteries. She is a co-author of 21 publications in peer-reviewed journals that have received over 540 citations (h-factor=13).

Joannis K. Kallitsis

Joannis K. Kallitsis is Professor at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Patras and affiliated faculty member of FORTH/ICE-HT. He spent postdoctoral years in the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research and in the Kunstoff laboratorium BASF. He has been invited Professor in ECPM, Strasbourg; ESCPI, Paris and ETH, Zurich. His research activities focus on the development of new polymeric and hybrid materials of various architectures and functionalities. One main research activity is devoted to the preparation of new aromatic polyelectrolytes presenting ionic conductivity and their application in HT PEMFCs. He is co-author of more than 150 papers in international refereed journals. He has participated into several national and international research projects.

Georgios Bokias

Georgios Bokias is Professor at the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras. He obtained his first degree in Chemistry from the University of Athens (1989) and his Ph.D. from the University of Patras (1994). He spent about three years at the Ecole Superieure de Physicochimie Industrielle (ESPCI), Paris, France, within the frame of a Marie Curie Fellowship and other national or industrial grants. Since 2002 he joined the Department of Chemistry, University of Patras. His research activities lay in the fields of stimuli-responsive and functional polymers, hydrogels, nanoparticles and hybrid organic/inorganic nanostructured materials for potential applications as responsive soft materials, sorbents and sensors. He has participated into several national and international research projects.  He is a co-author of about 60 research publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and book chapters.
